SLIK record review
Identify the reporting institution, facility, status, balance, and relevant reporting date in the retrieved record.
SLIK (Financial Information Services System) records are reported by financial institutions and are not a general blacklist that can be erased on request. After settlement or auction, the practical issue is whether the reporting institution has accurately updated the facility status and whether a disputed entry can be corrected.
First obtain your own SLIK report through OJK’s current consumer-access channel and identify the reporting institution, facility, balance, status, and reporting date. Compare it with a settlement letter, auction distribution statement, account ledger, and any remaining-balance agreement. A completed collateral sale does not necessarily mean the entire debt was paid, so establish the account outcome before alleging an error.
If an entry is inaccurate, submit a written correction request to the reporting institution with the relevant evidence and keep the acknowledgement. If the institution does not resolve it, use the applicable consumer complaint route, which may include OJK channels. A correct historical record is different from a mistaken current status; legal counsel can help distinguish correction from a request to delete accurate history.
The lender’s SLIK entry still shows an active unpaid balance after documented full settlement.
The listed account, reporting institution, debtor identity, or payment status does not match your records.
A company’s credit information contains a facility or guaranty that it disputes.
A lender refuses to explain what document or balance supports the reported status.
You need to prepare an OJK complaint after first seeking correction directly from the reporting institution.
UU 21/2011 establishes OJK’s institutional framework and consumer-protection role; SLIK reporting and correction are governed by current OJK rules that must be checked for the relevant reporting date. The reporting institution is normally the first source for account-level correction because it supplies the data. OJK complaint handling is not the same as a court determination of the underlying debt.
Keep the issue narrow and evidence-based: identify the exact field, why it is inaccurate, the supporting record, and the correction requested. If the debt remains partly unpaid after auction, the report may reflect that balance subject to applicable reporting rules. Avoid claims that accurate historical information must be erased merely because collateral was sold or a loan was closed.
We compare the SLIK report against settlement, bank, and auction-distribution documents and prepare a discrepancy schedule identifying exact dates, amounts, and status fields. For a company, we also verify who is authorised to access records and make a complaint.
We assist with a documented correction request to the reporting institution and, if unresolved, assess escalation through OJK’s current consumer complaint process or another appropriate forum. We do not promise deletion or a credit score outcome; the requested remedy is accurate reporting supported by evidence.
Identify the reporting institution, facility, status, balance, and relevant reporting date in the retrieved record.
Compare auction proceeds, payments, settlement letters, and any residual debt calculation.
Prepare a clear written request with supporting records and a specific field-level correction.
Organise the correspondence and evidence for an OJK consumer complaint where the applicable process permits.
A request to correct inaccurate information differs from a request to erase accurate historical reporting. Whether a record can be amended depends on current rules and the facts; first confirm exactly what is reported and by whom.
The account may still show a remaining obligation, depending on the loan terms, distribution, and applicable reporting requirements. Request a written reconciliation before asking the institution to report the facility as fully settled.
Use the SLIK report, settlement or release letter, bank statement, auction minutes and distribution statement, payment receipts, and prior complaint correspondence. Highlight the exact entry and requested correction.
Start with the reporting institution’s formal complaint channel and retain its response or acknowledgement. If unresolved, review OJK’s current escalation channel and requirements; procedures can change, so verify them before filing.
The company’s authority documents and representation rules need review. Prepare corporate authorisation, identity documents, and Indonesian-language supporting materials where requested by the institution or complaint channel.
